Newington Park – Sydney

A few weeks back I decided to check out Newington Park after a recommendation from a friend. This fantastic park is surprisingly located behind a high-security prison but don’t let that put you off visiting.

Sadly I didn’t get to spend too long there as it was a 40-degree day and by 9.30am it was already 30 degrees. However, my time spent there was wonderful despite the heat. We followed the path around. If you have kids, they would love this playground. There is also an awesome water park.

For the history buffs, I recommend checking out the Newington Armory. For the big kids (provided there are no little kids around) have a go on the flying fox, its so much fun!

I will definitely be going back now that it’s a bit cooler.
