Valentine’s Day Nail Art 2018

You may have noticed that I’m not that into Valentines Day from my post last year, Won’t someone think of the flowers (a valentines day satire) – yes I am a little strange :p  In reality this year isn’t any different however if there is an excuse to do some awesome nail art I am going to grab it with both hands. I decided to do two different valentines day nail art designs as I really wanted to try out a few of my bundle monster stamping plates that I purchased last year.

These designs were only in my hands for a day before I removed them. I was hoping that the Sally Hansen peel off base coat would make removal easy. Unfortunately, I still needed the nail polish remover. I will have to try to find a way of getting UNT’s variant into Australia.

Both designs have been entered into collaborations, one hosted by myself and the other hosted by Love My Colour. If you want to learn about hosting your own collaboration take a look at my recent post: A step by step guide to run your own collaboration

Design #1 Pretty in Pink

For my first valentines day nail art, I started out with an OPI’s Alpine Snow. Brightening this up with a bright pink ombre, using Nail Inc’s St James Park. Unfortunately, the pink was a bit too bright. But I decided to go with it.

For the stamping, I used bundle monster plate Kawaii Emoji BM-XL324. This plate is very cute! I can’t wait to use it again. I might even attempt some reverse stamping with it.

Design #2 – Deep in love

For this design, `I kept things a little simple compared to the first design. Using Ultra 3’s Black Plum for the base colour, I applied a basis white stamp. My stamping for this design slipped a little. Despite this, I still loved how the design turned out.
