This post nearly didn’t happen! Just as I started to write and went to grab my pictures. I couldn’t find them anywhere. I started to think that I didn’t take any pictures at all. It turns out that I had put them in my YouTube folder instead of my blog post folder. I have to admit my heart sank a little bit. Anyway with that crisis averted I can now move onto writing this post. I’ve done a fair bit of stamping and am starting to really get the hang of it. I’ve even tried a little reverse stamping, although this still needs work. So I thought I would try a bit of multicoloured stamping. For this post, I won’t go into how I completed the look as my YouTube video will cover this. Rather I’m going to focus a little more on my thought process.
I kept things simple by choosing only two colours. Before I started, I envisioned that the stamp would end up with a bit of an ombre effect. With this in mind, I selected a dark and light green stamping polish. For the base I added a sparkly white, just to add some contrast against the green, especially the lighter shade. As this is slightly fluro.
I applied the colours using the same technique as I have seen others use. I think where I went wrong was using two very different shades. For next time I will use a third colour or two shades that are closer to each other
Overall
Overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, despite not having an ombre effect. Especially as its a first attempt for multicoloured stamping. I’m looking forward to trying this again! But for now, I’m am trying out some Halloween designs so keep an eye out for those next week!
Your stamping looks really good! I haven’t done a lot with nail polish and nail art in awhile, just because of my last job. But now I’ve left I can’t wait to play around with it again!
