I’ve seen Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polish pop up a few times of late and after spotting it on sale at Priceline I thought I would it give a go. The particular store I was in only had two colours, so I selected Insta-Dri Va-Va Violet (443). This is why I shouldn’t go to Priceline at lunchtime!
Insta-Dri Va-Va Violet
When I applied the colour, it went on really smooth and the brush was easy to use. I was expecting it to dry quickly, ideally be touch dry within a few minutes. Unfortunately, it took far longer then I expected it would especially give that it’s marketed as an instant-dry polish.
I love the bright colour which came out slightly brighter then it looks in the bottle. It’s quite a vibrant purple which personally I wouldn’t wear on its own but will love using this for my nail art.
The sunlight really brings out the bright tones even more.
It took 2 coats for the polish to become opaque however it was just slightly sheer so I added a third coat.
Overall Rating – 3.2/5
The polish formula is nice to use. The colour is vibrant and a beautiful shade of purple. However, it was really disappointing that the polish didn’t live up to its name of insta-dry. This is why it only got a one star for the drying category despite it not taking excessive time to try, it did take far longer than promised. If the polish was on sale I would consider buying other colours treating them as regular polish but I won’t be expecting it to be a fast drying polish.

It’s a pity that isn’t as quick drying as it stated. If I was to pick up a polish that claimed to be quick drying then I’d hope that it would be. I do love that particular shade however, it would brighten anyone’s day!
The shade definitely makes up for the long drying time!
