Starting this design with Easter in mind, I decided to create some purple based nail art stamping. I began with a lilac OPI, “Polly Want a Lacquer?” I love this colour for Easter or spring designs. It’s certainly in the top 10 of my favourite colours.
The picture below is of just a single coat. For this design, I applied two coats to achieve full opacity.
Purple Nail Stamping
I used plate Polynesia BM-XL119 by maniology for this design. The plate has some really beautiful designs it was hard to pick which ones to use so I decided to use a different pattern for each nail. It’s such a beautiful plate and I’m glad I that received it as part of the 20 for $20 pack.
As this design used plate images, I used my solid Konad stamper and blue stamping polish. I chose blue so that it would contrast with the purple base and highlight the different designs that I applied to each nail.
Out of the plate, my favourite would be this ocean scene. I will be keen to try some reverse stamping with this image and adding some colour for a future design.
Nail Art Design
This is what I came up with. I love the patterns from this plate and the light airy design. Rather then an Easter design this turned into a sea or beach design which given that it’s the end of the summer it works quite well. For me, it reminds me of that last day of summer when it starts getting cool in the evening.
Let me know in the comments what does this design remind you of?
For my next few designs, I will be completing my first Easter Series. I’m hoping to have 2-3 designs so keep an eye out for my upcoming posts.
