Eurovision Themed Nail Art – 2019

Over this next week, the Eurovision 2019 Song Competition will begin! I’m so excited to Kate Miller-Heidke perform, I love her act and I’m really glad she was selected to represent Australia. Her staging and performance were amazing, it will be interesting to see the changes they make to the staging for the finals. With the Eurovision festivities about to begin, I have decided to create Eurovision Themed Nail Art.

The Base

This design actually started out with the base colour, L’Oreal Paris – 670 Cobalt Indecent. I just received this colour and wanted to try it out as soon as possible. At this point, I didn’t even know what design I was going to do. I’ll post a review of L’Oreal Paris – 670 Cobalt Indecent in a few weeks time. For now, I will just say, I really love the colour and I can’t wait to use it for some spring flower designs.

All about the music

I found two maniology plates with music-themed designs, BM-601 and BM-719. Given that the base colour was so dark, I chose a colour that was bright and would stand out. Given that this is Eurovision themed I wasn’t too afraid to go bright. After all, Eurovision is known for being a bit out there. The bright yellow really stood from the blue without being too overpowering. The dark base certainly helped to tone down the brightness.

By mixing up the records and guitars it helps to make it more obvious that it’s music themed. Just on its own the records kind of look just like circles. This is where mixing up the designs stamped can help to enhance the theme being conveyed. Don’t being afraid to use multiple plates when creating your designs. Overall

I’m really happy how my Eurovision Themed Nail Art turned out. I feel it captures the vibes of Eurovision being bright and a little bit out there.
