In the midst of moving, we needed a break, so for many of the days, we took a short break to have coffee and cake at the local Smelly Cheesecake. Lucky for us moving burns a lot of calories.
Smelly Cheesecake – Black Sesame shortcake
I’ve been eyeing off this cake for a while. Mostly because of the Black Sesame flavour. The cake was soft and moist. The cream on top and in the middle had so much flavour. I’m really glad that I went halves in this one as the cream for me personally was quite heavy. I wish I could have eaten then the whole thing.
Match Cheesecake
The bright green colour of this cake really caught my eye. I got even more excited when I saw that it matched flavoured. This cake was exactly how you expect a cheesecake to be. The bitterness of the matcha paired with the creaminess of the cheesecake worked so well together.
Berry Cheesecake
So, I purely bought this cake because of its shape. This made the centre surprise even better. Filled with a delicious berry jam. This cake truly matched up to the hype generated by the appearance.
Chocolate Brownie Cake
This layered cake was selected by my partner. It wasn’t the first one that I wanted to try (I had my eye on the berry cake). However, it was such a good chocolate cake. The top layer was a beautiful thick moose. The bottom layer was an amazing dense chocolate brownie. The chocolate flavour for this was intense. I will definitly be having this again!
St Mark
With a creme brulee top, and multiple layers each individual layer not only worked on its own, but also they all blended together so well.
Overall
It might be a long time before I eat this much cake all at once again, but it was so worth it. Each cake was amazing in its own way.
