Blue Flower Nail Art | Tutorial

I created this design as part of a birthday collaboration. We had no brief for the design so I decided to go through the birthday girl’s Instagram feed and see if I could re-create a design. I picked a floral design with a bright base which resulted in creating a blue metallic flower nail art.

Base Colour

For the base, I used China Glaze – 692 Adore, a bright metallic blue polish that beautifully bounces the surrounding light. I love how smooth the finish is and how quickly the polish dries. Unfortunately similar to other China Glaze polishes it doesn’t last long but luckily I was only planning to wear this design for a few days. It does work really really for reverse stamping as the colour is quite opaque.

Moving onto the second part of this design using stamping plate BM 720, by Maniology. This small plate features a beautiful flower design with gorgeous leafs where I took a number of images from various angles. I selected black konad stamping polish to create contrast against the blue metallic colour. I also used my beauty big bang stamping mat to clean off my stamper after each nail. This ensured that the images would be clean for each nail. Another way to clean the stamper is to use a sticky paper lint roller. I also use the lint roller to clean my mat without causing any damage.

Overall

This Blue Metallic Flower Nail Art was a quick design to create. The colours contrasted well and the black stamping polish toned down the bright metallic blue.
