After four Christmas designs, I wanted to change things up a little. With so many bright colours I decided to go with a more neutral colour. This also allowed me to use my last unused plate, not including my Halloween plates. So with this in mind, I created An Arrow to my Heart.

The base
I started this design with a Natio polish called Dune. I have used this polish in other designs and it still has a place in my top polishes list. It’s one of the few nude polishes I own. A highly opaque polish this polish goes on smooth.
It was a really nice change from all of the bright colours and great to break up the Christmas designs that I’ve been wearing for the last month.
An Arrow to my Heart | Nail Stamping
This design made use of Maniology plate, BM-606 (use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off). I had planned to use the pattered design, but I also wanted to use the other images on the plate. By the time I started planning the use of the arrows and triangles I ended up with a design that didn’t use the pattern at all. So I will come back to this another day.
I used Konda black polish, to apply a combination of the bow, arrows and triangles. This created a nice contrast against the nude Natio – Dune shade and allowed the stamping image to standout and be the star of this design.
Overall
It was so nice to take a break from the Christmas designs to create An Arrow to my heart. I’m also so happy that I have now used each of my plates at least once (excluding the Halloween plates). I’m looking forward to being creative and seeing what other designs I can come up with for my designs.
Let me know in the comments have you done any Christmas designs?
