The Laughing Pug Coffee | Review from a Caffeine Addict

Chocolate Coated Coffee Beans by The Laughing Pig

For a number of weeks now I have seen the Laughing Pug coffee pop up on my FB adds offering a few samples. You just need to cover the delivery fee. At first, I was sceptical but their persistence paid off and I decided to give this a shot (pun intended)!

The Laughing Pug Coffee | Ordering Process

The website is mobile friendly and I was able to complete the entire order on my phone! I grabbed the free sample pack and added a bag of the chocolate-coated coffee beans which are my favourite!

The package arrived about a week later which considering mail was delayed due to COVID issues, I thought the delivery time was pretty good. It was packaged in a thick cardboard sleeve meaning that it could be recycled which is always a bonus.

Coffee Making

The coffee came with detailed instructions that are easy to follow. This is especially important if you are yet to have your first coffee of the day!!

The first one I made, I filled the cup the whole way as I kinda glossed over the step regarding the amount of water to use. It didn’t taste the best and I suspect my lack of following instructions contributed a lot to this issue.

My partner suggested that for the second and third sample we should measure out the water. This made a lot of difference to the taste!! So if you get this I highly recommend following the water amounts suggested.

The coffee taste was in between the taste of instant coffee and espresso or machine coffee. So it was pretty good and better then I had expected.

I think this coffee would be great if you area road-tripping and are wanting something of better quality then instant.

Oh! Before I forget the chocolate coated coffee beans were some of the best I have ever had!! I highly recommend splashing out on them.

Overall – 4/5

It was a pretty decent instant style coffee. I wouldn’t drink it every day (I like my piccolo and cappuccino too much!). However, if I was going on a long road trip I would definitely place an order.

Let me know in the comments if you would give this coffee a go or if you have tried something similar??
