When I created this design I had Spring in mind, hence the flowers. However, after everything came together and I chose the images to stamp, it felt more like a valentines day design. I hope you like this Rose Nail Art.
A red for my heart | Rose Nail Art Base
I used two colours to create the base of this design. Initially starting with my favourite white polish of all time, OPI Alpine Snow. At this stage, I wasn’t quite sure exactly what I would do for the stamping but knew that I would do something flowery.
After finally settling on a design, I added a red by OPI called Tell me About it Stud. This red is made for Valentine’s day. It’s so bright and vibrant and lasted really well over the week that I wore this design.

Rose Nail Art Stamping
Wanting to keep the design with a minimalist feel I decided to go with two accent nails, keeping the remaining nails blank. Using plate BM-616 by Maniology decided to create one reverse stamped nail for each hand (use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off Maniology).
Using the classic Konad Black I stamped a few images on my stamping mat for the reverse stamping. I then filled in the roses with the OPI red polish that I used for the base colour.
To finish off the design I added a coat of smudge-free topcoat to the stamped nails and a coat of OPI start to finish on the plain nails.
Overall
While this ended up looking more like a valentines day design with the bright red nail, I feel that it still captures spring with the beautiful roses. I quite enjoyed how quick this design was despite the reverse stamping.
Let me know in the comments if you think this is more of a spring or valentines day design?
