With Sydney’s weather not really acting like its summer, I thought it was time to bring summer vibes to my nails with this Summer Nail Art 2021 design! This year’s design features some awesome blue dolphin nail art stickers that I got for Christmas!

Summer Nail Art 2021 – The Base
For this design, I was really conscious to not choose a strong colour to ensure the stickers would be able to be seen easily. I also knew that I wanted to include some stamping or create some sort of ocean nail art. I wasn’t sure how it would look so using one of my practice wheels I decided to try out a few ideas. After the experiments, I landed on a white base with some light blue stamping.
For the white, I used Alpine Snow by OPI my favourite white polish. I only added two thin coats. Although it could have done with 3 the stamping and stickers would mask the opaqueness.
The Nail Art | Dolphin’s and Ocean Swells
For the nail art part of this design, I used a light blue stamping polish by Konad to apply a swirl pattern from Maniology stamping plate M091 (use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off at maniology).
Now that my ocean had been created I began to add the nail stickers from sports girl. To make things easier I used tweezers to remove the stickers from the sheet before placing it on my nail.
To seal in the design I added two layers of topcoat.
You could also create a blue to white ombre base or just leave the base colour plain using white or a light blue polish.
Overall
This design didn’t quite turn out how I imagined in my head. However I still really liked it and the summer vibes created.

Looks amazing 😀
Thankyou!!
HI Laura: question how long did you have to wait after the stamping polish was applied to apply the dolphin decals? Your nails look lovely as always. OPI Alpine Snow? that’s a fantastic white polish, George 🙂
Thankyou!! I think it was about 10mins but 5mins should be enough. Definitely recommend checking out alpine snow 😀
