Back for a second St Patrick’s Day Design!! This time it’s all about the green rainbow where create this more advance design. Nail Art for St Patrick’s Day can be as easy as green nails or as complex as reverse stamping or hand-painted nails. The key is that you have fun creating a design that you enjoy!
The Base
This design started out by painting all nails with a mint green shade from Colour by TBN called Mighty Mint.
I picked up this shade just before Christmas and fell in love with it. It’s a little streaky on the first coat but looks great after the second layer is applied.

Nail Art for St Patrick’s Day
I added two touches of nail art to this design.
The first is the addition of a jelly polish by ILNP called Hide and seek. I felt that the nails without the reverse stamping were a little plain and I wanted to add a little more sparkle to this design.
The second part of the design was the reverse stamping, using maniology plate BM-XL213 (Use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off Maniology). I stamped a number of rainbows on to my stamping mat with Konad black and began to fill in the clouds with OPI Alpine Snow.
Given that this is a St Patrick’s nail art design I wanted to keep the rainbow entirely green so I again used ILNP Hide and seek.
The design looked really cool! That was until I used a top coat I haven’t used in ages which I forgot smudges the stamping (Rimmel Finishing Touch). So I just went with it. I was a little sad that it smudged but at least it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
Overall
Despite the smudging fail, I loved this design! It was fun to create and I do love the irony of creating a green rainbow!
Looks good 😀
Thankyou!!
