This week as I was designing my Easter nails I wasn’t feeling like doing the standard spring style with pastel colour. So after a bit of thinking, I decided to create some Chocolate Nail Art for Easter.

The Base
For the base, I wanted something light that would allow the chocolate bars to stand out. So I went with a nude shade Dune by Natio, a light pink nude colour. By selecting a light colour it gave me some flexibility as at this point I wasn’t sure how if I was also going to fill in the label of the chocolate bar.
The image below is taken from my design An Arrow to my Heart, where I’ve used the same nude polish.
Chocolate Nail Art
To create the Chocolate Nail Art I used Maniology Plate Kawaii Emoji – BM-XL323 (get 10% off Maniology with code THENAILCHRONICLE). This plate is filled with cute sweet treats!! Perfect for Easter.
Using Konad black stamping polish I added 12 images to my stamping mat. I try to add a few extra images just in case one is damaged. I filled in the chocolate part of the image with Sinful Colors shade Nirvana a chocolatey brown. For the reverse stamping, I prefer using dotting tools but you can also use small brushes.
Once I was happy with the chocolate I applied a coat of clear polish to create the decal and left it to dry for 5 to 10mins. I placed each decal on my nails and finished it off with Maniology Smudge-Free top coat.
Overall
This was such a fun design to create and it was nice doing something that wasn’t the stereotypical Easter-themed Nail Art design. I really enjoyed creating the decals and can’t recommend enough always create extra’s just in case something goes wrong.
Let me know in the comments if you will be creating Easter Nail Art?
