This week I’ve decided to review another collab polish. The Sally Hansen, Jelly Belly French Vanilla Collab polish is something a little different from a typical white polish. So I couldn’t resist giving it a go. Mostly I was curious to see if it would look the same on my nails as it would in the bottle.
Sally Hansen Jelly Belly French Vanilla Collab
When I opened the bottle I was really impressed by the distribution of the small black flecks and so from this aspect, I knew it would be easy to apply. However, I was a little worried that this would be quite a sheer white that would take 3-4 coats to apply.
Upon my first coat I was presently surprised that this polish was very opaque and I felt that actually, two coats would be plenty for full coverage. In the end, I only applied two coats which gave a fantastic result.
In terms of dry time. The polish was slightly faster than the other Sally Hansen quick-dry polishes that I have used. However, it still took ages for it to dry! Even when these polishes do dry they tend to be quite soft and so I have to be careful a lot longer than I would otherwise with other nail polish. For this reason, I was especially glad that only two coats were needed.
The polish was very hard-wearing with barely a chip in sight. I feel that it would have stretched to two weeks, with a top-up of some topcoat.
The spread of the black dots to emulate fresh vanilla from the pod was really well done! I think they have done really well with the collab polish, which perfectly suits the name!
To see the polish applied in live-action, take a look at the video below:
Overall
The Sally Hansen, Jelly Belly French Vanilla Collab polish is so pretty! I love the end result and how it turned out. Stay tuned for next week where I turn this into a bright Halloween style design.
