Following on from last weeks design I’m continuing on with my Halloween series. Only this time going with a darker theme to create Game of Thrones Nail Art for Halloween!
Game of Thrones Halloween Nail Art
This design started with OPI Pamplona Purple for the base. This polish is a deep purple shade. I really didn’t have much reasoning behind this other than it was a new colour that I had recently purchased and was keen to try out.
Moving on to the more exciting part the stamping. I chose to do each hand differently. One with stamping and the other with reverse stamping. I wasn’t 100% how the image would look so started with the plain stamping. Most of the images I stamped on the whole with black stamping polish. However, there was the exception of the lattice design which didn’t quite fully pick up so using my scraper I removed the outer edges to neaten up and reduce the size of the image.
In hindsight, I should have picked one of the other colours to do the stamping as the black was a little hard to see against the dark purple but it was still looked pretty cool.
Halloween Reverse Stamping
With the images laid out on my right hand, I had a really clear picture in my head of how I was going to design the reverse stamping for my lefthand.
For the Ice King, I started with a light blue to create his piercing blue eyes. And added a little brown for the spikes on his head.
Using yellow I created a bright giant bird to cover most of the nail! And for my thumb, I created a blue woof for no other reason other than that I thought blue would look awesome and stand out against the purple.
Both sets were topped off with, Hit the Bottle smudge-free topcoat, followed by a regular top coat.
Overall
I can’t wait to try out more designs with this plate!! Next, I’ll be trying some of the walking dead designs!!
