This week I’ll be sharing a swatch of Lost My Bikini in Molokini by OPI, a vibrant purple. I’ve had this swatch sitting in my files for a while but never got around to posting it. I guess it’s better late than never!
Lost My Bikini in Molokini | Swatch
When I opened this bottle and got my first view of the polish I was pleasantly surprised with how thick it was and not in a bad way. I could tell straight away that this polish would be very opaque with full potential for it to be a one coater.
On the first coat, my suspicions were instantly confirmed. The polish went on really smooth and was very opaque. I almost could have gotten away with a single coat.
I still applied a second coat, just to make the colour really pop and to ensure it would last as long as possible.
This colour turned out really bright without being too in your face. I could see that it would be awesome for future nail art designs. Either as a base or for some reverse stamping.
Lost My Bikini in Molokini, stood the wear and tear test over the week with barely any chips. I really would expect anything less for an OPI polish.
In my latest short video below I go into more details:
Overall
I love this shade, it’s bright and vibrant! I can see myself using it either for an Easter design this April or something for Spring in September – Nov (I’m in the southern hemisphere).
Let me know in the comments how you would use this colour. Would you just leave it as is or add some nail art?
