I’m probably a little behind in the hype with Black Magick. However, I still wanted to see if it was as good as people raved about. I ordered this a number of months ago but it took me a while to use it as I had heaps of other design idea’s that I wanted to try before I came up with something that would suit this polish. So here I am finally giving Black Magick a go!

Black Magick Swatch | Maniology
For the Black Magick Swatch, I wanted to create something that would allow it to really shine and show its best self. So I decided to go with a patterned stamped design so that it could be really well seen.
I was leaning towards a black base as I wanted the holo to show through but was worried that it wouldn’t work so I did a quick test with OPI – Lady in Black. From the test, it was looking promising so I dove in and started with two coats of black polish for my base.
Then using Maniology plate M090, I stamped on a really cool-looking pattern, using the same pattern across both hands. This was done using my favourite Monocle stamper. I’m really glad that in my last order I picked up a new stamper head for the Monocle stamper as my current one is starting to get worn. (Get 10% off Maniology! Using code THENAILCHRONICLE)
Black Magick stamped on like a dream. Every time it picked up so nicely and applied easily to my nail.
The polish showed up beautifully and looked amazing against the black. I also tried using it as a base polish a while back and this came out amazing as well! It lasted really well and overall I’m so impressed with this and glad I finally purchased it.
Overall
This Black Magick Swatch was so fun to create and I’m so happy with the end result! It’s absolutely gorgeous and can’t wait to see what else I can do with the polish.
