Vampire Nails | Halloween 2022

Vampire Nails Art for Halloween

For this last Halloween design of 2022, I decided to create Vampire Nails. I was inspired by the base colour, a shade very similar to red wine which sort of reminded me of vampires drinking blood out of a wine glass.

Red Blood Base

For the base of this design, I used Glam Nails (by Manicare) shade Red Red Wine. The shade is a deep red, exactly what you would expect from red wine, or in the spirit of Halloween, it reminded me of blood.

I’ve used other Manicure products in the past but never any of their coloured polishes. The polish was really good! It was hard wearing and bearly chipped which considering I was wearing a peel-off base coat is even more impressive. It was a little streaky on the first coat. However, by the second coat, it looked fantastic.

I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for other Manicure polishes in the future!

Vampire Nails

Moving onto the nail stamping I used an older Maniology plate under their old brand Bundle Monster, plate BM S249 (use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off Maniology). I decided to do a mix of stamping and reverse stamping for this design.

For the reverse stamping, I used the following colours.

  • Natio – Dune (cream/light pink)
  • Rubi – Silver
  • Revlon – Red 680
  • Sinful Colors – Nirvana (brown)

My biggest worry for this design was if the images would show up against the dark red. Especially where I had used a lighter red shade for the cape of one of the vampires. Luckily with the black outline, it was able to be seen fairly well.

To complete the design I added a coat of Maniology smudge-free top coat, followed by a regular top coat.

Overall

I’m really happy with how this design turned out, except for the one vampire image that got smudged when it was applied to my nail. It is a great way to end my 2022 Halloween series!

Let me know in the comments if have you done any Halloween-themed nail art this year.
