This year for my birthday my friend surprised me with an amazing polish, Black Perfecto by Guerlain. The only time I had heard of Guerlain was for their perfume line. So I was incredibly surprised to see they had a nail polish line!
Black Perfecto
Before I get into the polish I have to chat about the bottle. The bottle has such a luxurious feel to it. The cap on top has a crystal look to it and easily pops off the bottle to reveal the brush handle. My only complaint is that the brush handle is quite small. However, the brush itself is quite wide and makes application easy. The brush is high quality and picks up the perfect amount of polish on the brush. I love the bottom of the bottle and how they have made the glass a concave shape for the internal section.
For my first coat, I decided to apply a very thin layer as I wasn’t sure how well this would dry. It surprisingly dried really quickly and before I knew it, I was applying the second coat. In the end, I applied three coats, as I kept the layers quite thin.
The polish has such a nice feeling to it. It felt like it was high quality and just nice. I know that might sound odd but I find that different polishes have a different feeling once they have dried.
When painting because of the width of the brush the polish applied with minimal fuss and very little mess. I absolutely love the brush. Personally, a quality brush can really make that difference to a nail polish.
The wear was fantastic as well! The polish lasted a full week which included a few rounds of dishes and a volleyball game where normally I would expect to see a lot of damage. However, the damage was minimal. I was really impressed with how well it lasted.
The colour was rather interesting. In the bottle, it has a bit of a purple undertone. However, when applied to my nails the colour was certainly black.

Overall I loved this polish!! I felt so fancy wearing it! The wear was fantastic and the bottle is so cute!
