Hello! Welcome to my Christmas Nail Art 2018 series, design number 2. So this design didn’t stay on my hand for longer then 30mins because I had decided to apply glitter of the top. The glitter completely clashed and seriously looked like someone had vomited glitter. This is when design #1 happened (I accidentally reversed the order of these posts! Oops!) Still, I loved this Oh Christmas Tree Nail art design despite ruining it.
Oh Christmas Tree Nail Art
I have to admit that even on this second paragraph my head is filled with the Oh Christmas Tree Carol. Anyway onto the nail art. I started this design with OPI, Alpine Snow. OPI Alpine Snow has become a bit of a staple polish for me. (btw if you’re in Australia, catch of the day has Discount Nail Polish).
I then moved onto the stamping. For this design, I kept the stamping simple, as I was going to apply the glitter on top. I used Konad’s black stamping polish and my Born Pretty Plate, as the Manology ones hadn’t arrived yet.
After completing the stamping I applied a clear top coat. Unfortunately, as I was rushing this a little I didn’t wait long enough and so some smudging did occur. But it wasn’t too bad.
Applying the glitter top coat I started with one and thought it looked ok. It wasn’t until I had completed half a hand that I decided that it was just awful but I just kept going. I really should have stopped! I did take some photo’s of this but to save both your eyes and mine, they have all been deleted. Trust me it’s for the better.
Overall
I’m really happy with how the original design turned out. This design taught me a few lessons, take my time and stop while I’m ahead. But at least it gave me a chance to try something else.
What special nail art or makeup are you planning to do for Christmas?

Try a no smear or smear not top coat. They really do work! Rubbish as top coats on their own, but they seal the stamping, and then you can apply your favourite top coat when they dry. I use this and have found, even with my heavy handedness that they really do work (when I remember to use it, ahem)
ill check it! Thanks for the advice:)
