Christmas Nail Art Design 2018 #4 – Aussie Christmas Nail Art

I was really late with this design as I was due to submit it to a collaboration. Thankfully the host was still accepting entries. The theme was Christmas around the world. So I choose to create Aussie Christmas Nail Art. I combined a few of my recently purchased nail art plates to achieve the design. Part of the brief was to also incorporate holo!

For Australia, Christmas is very much about the beach, hot days, swimming in the pool and spending time with those who are close to us! I started this design using UNT peel off base coat. I find this makes it easier to get glitter polishes off, sadly it doesn’t peel off easily, so if you have any tips please let me know. I then applied a polish by My Dance. I’m not sure of the name other than the code of 014 LS. I choose this because it covers the blue wintery theme of Christmas in the northern hemisphere as well the cool feeling of the Australian ocean in summer. It only took 2 coats for the polish to become opaque.

Using Manology plates M039 – Christmas and BM-XL160 – Australian I began applying the images. I choose a white stamping polish to ensure the design stood out. I kept things simple this week by not doing any reverse stamping. My main goal was to ensure that I distributed each theme evenly across both hands.

Overall

I loved how this turned out. The polish has flecks of holo that show in the sunlight and represents what Christmas is to me.
