Game of Thrones Nail Art | House Stark

Don’t worry I won’t put any spoilers in this post, all that I will say is that I can’t believe the last episode of Game of Thrones will show in just a few days. To say goodbye I’m taking this last chance to create a second Game of Thrones nail art design. I had planned to use the same decals as last time however I couldn’t find them anywhere. I’m now starting to think that I used all the decals in the set. So I had to rethink my design. I have a bit of a soft spot for house stark and so this became the base for my design.

Game of Thrones Nail Art

The famous saying “Winter is Coming”, was the basis to the background of my design. I wanted to incorporate the white snow that the north is so well known for. Also by having a white base, I would be able to create some woof silhouettes.

With a few whites to choose from, I selected the appropriately named China Glaze polish, Snow. I like the thin formula so that it would dry quickly. Quick drying for the base was quite important as I needed an early night for a 3 am start (yes that does say ‘am’). Being so thin Snow did require 4 coats to become opaque. The only downside is that the polish does chip quite easily so I will be applying a few extra top coats to protect the end finish. Hopefully having 4 coats also assists with the strength.

House Stark

This next part I completed the following day. I started by stamping a few black woof images using maniology plate BM-XL194. It’s not quite the stark woof but you get the idea and it looks far better then if I attempted to freehand it.

I consider the other key House Stark emblem to be the red tree. I started this by stamping the tree branch using maniology plate BM-707. Using the leaves from the same plate, using a red polish to create the leaves.

To finish I applied two coats of matte polish.

Overall

I’m still really sad that the show is ending but I am looking forward to seeing how it ends. Let me know in the comments if you watch GOT? Do you have any theories on how it will end?

I was glad to have one last chance to create Game of Thrones Nail Art. I really hope there will be a spin-off show or side story release.
