It had been a few weeks since doing some nail stamping and I was starting to get an itch. I’m getting close to achieving my goal of using all of my stamping plates at least once and decided to create a fun Dinosaur Nail Art design using a plate by maniology.

Dinosaur Nail Art
I started this Dinosaur Nail Art design with the plate, I was left to choose the colour. I selected a dark green for the base using one that I nearly forgot that I had, 244 Colour Riche by L’Oreal Paris. For reverse stamping, I selected browns and greys.
Like other L’oreal Paris nail polish, this has a great formula. Not too thick or thin and it dried quite quickly. The polish lastest quite a while as well. I was nearly able to get two weeks out of this design with just a touch up occasionally.
Using Maniology plate BM-611, I proceeded to stamp a number of images onto my stamping mat before filling in the images. Completely forgetting to add extra images like I normally do I was lucky to not damage the decals as they were lifted.
Overall
I must have subconsciously had my phone’s theme in my head which ironically has a green background with dinosaurs. I’m pretty sure this is why I choose green for the background. I didn’t realise this had happened until after I had finished the design.
Overall I was really happy with how this turned out. I was such a fun design. I think I just want to work on keeping the colour inside the lines of the design.
Let me know in the comments what design have you come up with from your subconscious? Would you wear dinosaur designs on your nails?
