Kyo Sushi Bar – Wentworth Point – Food Review

Kyo Sushi Bar - Lotus Chips

My partner and I first visited Kyo Sushi Bar back in mid-August after a long day at work. We weren’t in the mood to cook and had earmarked Kyo as our next place to try. Since then we have visited a few more times, so this post will be a combination of all visits.

Kyo Sushi Bar – Atmosphere

The atmosphere is really friendly and relaxed. Greeted by the friendly staff as soon as we arrived, on our first visit we were given the option of being seated at a booth, which we gladly accepted as it would be easier to talk. On the latest visit, we had to wait a short while for a table to open up, due to how popular it has become!

We found a few items that we wanted to order. We tried to use the doorbell that was installed, but it didn’t seem to work. Another table also seemed to have the same issue. Instead, we just flagged down a staff member, who was happy to assist.

The Food

Most of the food is sushi train style, with a wide variety that seems to change slightly on each visit. I was so happy to see some of my personal favourites. You can also order hot dishes that are a little more substantial. These are a great option if you’re not a big seafood fan like my partner. There is generally at least a beef dish available to order.

The food tastes really fresh and is delicious I haven’t had any bad dishes. I especially loved the octopus and seaweed dishes.

Dessert

There are two key desserts at Kyo Sushi Bar including mochi and ice-cream.

The mochi is a must-have on every visit. It’s so soft and fluffy! I’m pretty sure we have now tried all the mochi flavours.

We also tried matcha ice-cream which was just as delicious! But I still have a soft spot for the mochi.

Overall – Kyo Sushi Bar – 4/5

Kyo Sushi Bar has beautiful fresh seafood and hot dishes that will satisfy most people. The food is tasty and combined with their excellent service I will be coming back.
