It was a super humid day and while it was windy, the wind wasn’t helping us to stay cool. We had just visited K-mart, helping our friend grab a few big items as she had just moved into her own place, so we were looking for a quick bite to eat. After a quick look at google maps, my friend spotted Mrs P’s Coffee! So we decided to give it a go.
Mrs P’s Coffee
Just off the main street in Burwood, you will find Mrs P’s a small-sized cafe. The layout is rustic and very relaxed which was perfect as I wasn’t feeling so fresh due to the heat. We grabbed a table in the corner that just fit the three of us.
There was so much to choose from but not so much that we felt overwhelmed. We each grabbed a dish and coffee. The service was very friendly.
The Coffee
The coffee was smooth and not too bitter. I ordered a soy cap. Mrs P’s didn’t use Bonsoy which I was so pleased with, as I find Bonsoy overpowers the coffee. I loved the red cups that the coffee arrived in, they are so stylish and the latte art added a really nice finishing touch.
To top things off the coffee arrived with a small biscuit. I love when cafes do this!
The food at Mrs P’s Coffee
I ordered a Mexican omelette from the specials board. The omelette arrived on a large piece of bread and was packed full of ingredients. It was so tasty and satisfying.
My partner ordered meat between the buns and my friend ordered the brekkie bruschetta. Both dishes looked amazing.
Overall – 4/5
I was so glad we checked out Mrs P’s coffee! It’s such a cute cafe with delicious food and fantastic coffee. It really does pay to get off the main street to find some amazing food!
