Ocean Themed Nail Art | Tutorial

Ocean Wave Nail Art

In mid-December, I received my Pink reward for the maniology pack!! This was for making my first sale. Thanks to everyone for your support. I have been wanting to use the stickers from the pack for the last few weeks but wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. This weekend I had a lot going on but I still wanted to do some nail art so I decided to choose a design that was quick and easy. This resulted in a fun Ocean themed nail art design!

I started out by selecting my base colour. I chose a dark navy blue called March in Uniform by OPI. Using two coats this shade is super shinny and created a nice deep base for the next stage.

From the sticker pack, I selected a green iridescent wave pattered sticker. This sticker was one long strip. I placed the thickest strip on my nail and cut it to length. I liked the look of the one stripe on the top of my nail. I noticed there were two thinner strips so I decided to add two more stripes to my nail. The result was sort of ocean theme nail art.

Overall

This design was quick and easy. I love the iridescent effect of the stickers on the dark blue. This design can work for both long and short nails. I tested the short version on my thumbnail that I had shortened due to damage. I only applied two stripes but the final result still looked great!

When I’m limited on time I love using nail decals and stickers for nail art designs. If you’re looking for a super quick design I highly recommend taking a look at Maniology who have a great selection (use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off Maniology).
