Continuing from last weeks fall nail art design I’ve created a second fall design using a complete opposite base to the last design. The thing that I love about fall designs is that they are a reflection of nature and the environment around us. I also like the darker colours and neutral tones that are used in the designs. So here am I creating more nail art for fall! I hope you enjoy it.

Nail Art for Fall | The IT Color
I decided to use inverse colours from my first design so I selected a bright orange, The IT Colour by OP. The IT Colour reminds me of a pumpkin which is another reason why I chose it for this design.
I don’t wear orange very often unless I have a design in mind. I picked up The IT Color a few years ago on a whim and I’m really glad I did as it has made an appearance in a number of designs including a stamping free bee design: Cute Bumble Bee Nails
The polish has a really good formula that dries quickly, goes on smoothly and lasts for a long time! There was barely a chip in sight.
Creating a Fall Nail Art Pattern
Really fall designs could incorporate almost anything from pumpkins to falling leaves and Halloween (stay tuned some Halloween designs are coming up soon).
I selected the leaves idea and went through my stamping plates eventually landing on Maniology plate BM-720 (use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off at Maniology). I focussed on using the leaf pattern and avoided the large flower located towards the bottom of the plate. To create a bit of colour contrast for this design I used a dark red stamping polish by Konad. I found the two contrasting colours worked really well together, to balance each other out as both the base and stamping polishes are quite a strong shade. The red also helped to create the dark leaves that you see on the ground after the tree has dropped them.
I was planning to use my Monocle stamper for this design. However, I ended up having to use my konad stamper. I’m not sure if it was the plate or stamping polish but I just couldn’t get a nice image. That’s ok as sometimes a firm stamper is required depending on the plate.
