ILNP West Wing Swatch and Review

ILNP West Wing

After owning ILNP West Wing for quite a while I thought it was about time that I should swatch this polish!

ILNP West Wing Swatch

On the first appearance out of the bottle, this polish seems to have quite a thin formula so I’m expecting that this would need 4-5 coats as was needed by some other ILNP polishes. The polish is a beautiful deep purple that almost verges on being a black polish. It’s filled with holo glitter pieces, so I decided that before I’d swatch West Wing I should add some peel off base coat to make it easier to remove. I added three coats of UNT peel off base coat, as this seems to work the best for me.

The polish applied really smoothly. It has a very jelly style formula that holds the holo glitter in place so that you don’t get it all clumped up at the end and there is even coverage with minimal effort. After the first coat, it was still very thin but not as bad as I was expecting. The second coat completed the coverage and I almost could have gotten away with just the two coats. But I was glad that I went the full three coats. It added a really nice depth to the polish and cleaned up a few of the lighter spots from the second coat.

The holo was evenly spread and reflected the light beautifully. It didn’t take too long to dry either especially for a jelly. I have a few that took ages to dry. The longevity matched all previous experiences with ILNP lasting the full week!

I was tossing up to apply some nail art but this polish is just so pretty so I decided to leave it as it.

Check out my video below for more thoughts and so you can see how effortless it is to apply:

Overall

West Wing by ILNP is a beautiful polish that glistens in the light. The jelly formula applies really smoothly and it doesn’t take too long to dry. If you’re into purple polish I would recommend giving this shade a go!
