Stamped Valentine’s Day Nail Art 2021 | Maniology Reverse Stamping

With Valentines Day just around the corner, I thought I should do a design for the day even though I don’t really celebrate it. Starting with the Maniology Stamping plate I began to create my Reverse Stamped Valentine’s Day Nail Art.

The Base

After selecting the stamping plate that I was going to use I decided to go with a light shade so that I could really highlight the reverse stamped images. So I selected OPI Lets Be Friends that is part of the Hello Kitty Collection.

The shade is very light pink. On my nails, it almost looks like an off white. It’s pretty opaque but I think that is more to do with it getting thicker as I’m at the end of the mini bottle. Unfortunately, I think this will be the last time I use this polish as there isn’t enough for a full hand.

Stamped Valentine’s Day Nail Art

Moving onto the nail art! For this design, I used Maniology plate BM-XL324 (use discount code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off).

I stamped the images that I planned onto my stamping mat. I decided to do basic stamping for two of my nails.

For reverse stamping, I used a wide range of colour. Normally I wouldn’t use this many but it just ended up this way.

The colours I used were:

• Colour by TBN – Mighty Mint
• Modelsprefer – Rose Angel
• L’Oréal Paris – 552 Rubis Folies
• Maniology (BMC) – Kandi Spirit
• Australis – light blue (i can’t see the name anymore)
• Butter London – Molly Coddled
• OPI – The IT Color
• OPI – Tell me about it stud
• Natio – Dune
• David Jones – Souzize

Having filled in each image with my dotting tools I applied a layer of OPI Smudge-Free top coat. Unfortunately, I ruined one image as I didn’t wait long enough. Luckily I had a few spare. I then applied the decals to my nails and added another top coat to seal it in.

Overall

I’m really happy how this design turned out! The hearts are so cute. Although my lack of reverse stamping for the last few weeks shows a little it was still a fun design to create.
