This week I wanted to create something simple. I was about to travel to Canberra for the weekend so I wanted a quick design that I could do on Friday night before we headed off. So I created a quick and easy Green and Silver Nail Art Design.

Green and Silver Nail Art | Simple Nails for the weekend
I started this design with a dark green polish, Darjeeling Darling by Smith and Cult. This polish takes a little while to dry so I applied the first coat on Thursday night. The remaining two coats were applied on Friday. This green could be described as dark forest green. It’s a little challenging to find suitable colours to stamp with. I’ve found that silver and a fluro green that I have works really well. I think white would also work but I’m yet to try this out.

Silver Nail Stamping
Moving on to the nail stamping part of this design, I used Maniology plate BM-617 and a Konad silver polish (use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off Maniology).
I used two different images from this plate, both different flowers. When these were stamped on because the image was so shiny it looked more like a flower pattern rather than distinct flowers which created a cool effect.
Similar to my other attempts to use the silver stamping polish I found the clear stamper just wouldn’t pick up the image. So I reverted to using the solid Konad stamper. If you’re ever having trouble picking up an image sometimes changing the stamper can help.
Metallic stamping polish can be a little tricky to pick up compared to basic colours. So I recommend working as quickly as possible and be open to changing stampers and plates.
Overall
This was a fun design to create that was quick and easy. It was great to be able to pull out the green polish again but with the long dry time, I think it will be a while before it’s next use!
