Green Ombre Glitter Nails | Glamour Nail Design Part 4

Green Ombre Glitter Nails

There is nothing better than Ombre Nail Art. To finish off this Glamour Series (for now), I’m finishing off with a Bang creating Green Ombre Glitter Nails.

Starting out with the base I applied two coats of BMC (aka Maniology), Tree of life. This very dark green polish was chosen because I was wanted a dark shade that would enhance and highlight the glitter. This polish like most of Maniology’s polishes is really opaque. I could have easily gotten away with 1 coat.

The next step is to add a barrier if you have it available such as liquid latex which is normally my go-to option. I used Nails Inc – Hammersmith a bright blue glitter that worked really well with the green.

Then using a sponge (I just use the cheapest one) add glitter to the top third of your nail. The next part is a little messy. Using your finger lightly spread the glitter down your nail. If you find that the green starts showing through too much wait a while for it to dry and then reapply with the sponge, repeating the steps until you’re happy with the glitter placement

TIP: If you have too much glitter toward the bottom of your nail try painting polish at the bottom of your nail and then add back a little glitter as required.

Overall

This design was super quick and easy. It had a little more clean up than other designs but that was completely worth it!
