Coffee Nail Art Design | Hit the Bottle Stamping Polish

Black and White Nail Art - Hit the bottle

This week I took the chance to play with my new equipment from Hit the Bottle and Lina stamping plates. I wanted to try every colour that I had purchased but in the end, I settled on just the black and light blue to create a fun coffee nail art design!!

The prep for this post started with a little bit of a fail. I created the video draft and accidentally saved the file before realising I could save the draft. So I deleted the newly created file and also the original files meaning I can no longer open my draft. This means unfortunately there will be no video this week. I will share a short of my nail instead.

Coffee Nail Art Design

This design used Lina stamping plate -“Coffee, Tea or Gonut! For the base, I used a white Kmart Polish. I went with white as I wanted to highlight the new colours and I was being so indecisive on the stamping polishes I would use for the design. This took 3 coats until I was happy with the end result as the polishes are a little streaky but for a few dollars, I really can’t complain.

On my right hand, I chose Stuck on you a black stamping polish. This polish is a tacky stamping polish that can be used to apply pigments and nail art foils however as this is the only black stamping polish I have access to I decided to go ahead and use it anyway. The images picked up really well. I did struggle on a few images however I think that was more than the stamper needed a little wash and that I wasn’t used to that style of stamper or plate.

For my left hand, I struggled more with getting an image. I had the most amount of luck with the Arctic Cloudberry a light blue pastel stamping polish. I suspect that this will be resolved next time and in hindsight, I really should have stopped and washed the stamper head before continuing. Still, I managed to get an image on each nail, resulting in a really cute design!

Overall

Despite some challenges, it was great to be back stamping again after nearly 2 months off. Especially when I have the chance to create coffee nail art I can’t wait to try out some of the other colours and images. Hopefully, I have better luck next time, I really want to see how the green and purple shades look.
