Green Layered Stamping Design

Green Layered Stamping

I felt like doing a spot of green layered stamping this week, so I decided to change the colours I have previously done and use green as the colour theme. I don’t have that many green stamping polishes that would work together, so this design was a little more challenging. But I was able to work out something in the end.

Starting with one of my favourite nudes, I applied 2 coats of Dune by Natio. Once this dried I moved on to the stamping using plate Maniology plate M029 (use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off Maniology).

This is where things got a little challenging due to the lack of stamping greens that would match each other. I decided to take a risk and see if one of my regular polishes would work for the design. Wanting a very dark green I selected Darjeeling Darling by Smith & Cult. When I applied this to the stamping plate the polish looked very thin and I was pretty sure that nothing would pick up. To my surprise, it worked really well and I could use the polish for my entire design.

For layer 2, I used Tree of Life by BMC (Aka Maniololgy). The design was meant to have 3 layers, however, I decided to stick with just two as it looked nice and I wasn’t sure which green I would use. I was planning to use a bright fluro green but wasn’t 100% happy with the result of my test design.

Overall

I loved the cool pattern that I was able to create with this Green layered stamping. Now that I’m really starting to get the hang of the layered stamping technique I’m really enjoying being able to create all sorts of new designs.
