A few months ago, I tagged along clothes shopping with my partner which at the time I was adamant about not buying any more nail polish. That was until I came across a bunch of OPI polishes on sale for $6 each which considering they sell for $20 retail in Australia, I struggled to walk past the polishes, so I picked my favourite three colours, including Less is Norse.
OPI – Less is Norse
In the bottle, OPI less – is Norse has a deep purple colour with some grey tones. However, when painted on my nails the grey is slightly stronger. I like that the purple tones are in the polish and that this isn’t a full on grey polish. The colour is subtle and allows itself to be dazzled up or left as is. The polish took only two coats to be opaque.
The bottle is the standard OPI bottle. I love the handle of the bottles as they aren’t too small and make applying polish easy. The brush is narrow but not too narrow. Its really well designed which is part of the reason why I love OPI polishes.
The formula felt a little thicker than normal OPI. This didn’t seem to affect the drying time, with it drying pretty quickly.
Adding a bit of sparkle
I wanted to add something extra to this design so I applied some sparkly gold leaf water details. I planned to apply one decal to each nail but accidentally forgot to remove the top layer and couldn’t get the decal off after adding it to the water. This ended up working in my advantage and by applying the decals to three nails only it ended up looking really nice with the plain nails.
Having added the sparkle, I just applied two coats of top coat to complete the design and ensure the decals wouldn’t lift up or come off.
Overall (4.4/5)
OPI – Less is Norse is a great polish. It applied really smoothly and dried quickly. As with other OPI polishes, it lasted a while before chipping. The colour is beautiful and is able to be used in many nail art designs because it’s quite neutral.
