Adler Inn – Food Review

After all the house moving my partner and I went in search of a place for dinner as we weren’t keen on cooking. I don’t know many people that would be! We decided to head to Adler Inn which has just opened. The restaurant is tucked away in a corner so it can be a little hard to spot unless you know its there but it fairly easy to find.

Menu and Decor

The menu is described as Asian Fusion, featuring a combination classic dishes with a twist and a few classics such as spag bowl. It has a wide selection of items with something to suit everyone’s taste. I selected the Octopus Salad and my partner choose Pan Seared chicken breast, lentil stew, mushroom jus. We also ordered a serving of their homemade ice-cream which we got for free for posting up on Instagram!

The decor is simple but homely with beautiful wooden tables. It feels quite cost especially given that its the middle of winter. I can imagine it would be nice and airy during summer, given its location.  It’s such a lovely place.

Food and Service

As soon as we arrived we were quickly greeted and lead to a table. We were given a small bowl of nuts upon arrival which was such a nice touch.

My Octopus Salad arrived first. We were given a few plates to share the food, however, this time my partner and I decided to not share as he isn’t a fan of seafood. The salad was bright and colourful! I loved the variety of colours. The flavour was well balanced, with sweetness from the Octopus and candied nuts and bitterness from the cabbage. The sauce was delicious and tangy and paired really well with the octopus. I ate this as a main (after a few days of takeaway food I needed some salad), but it would work as a side dish and would be great to share.

The chicken arrived shortly after. It was beautifully presented. The chicken was so moist and the vegetables were delicious! The mushroom was really tender and full of flavour. It was such a wholesome meal.

After letting our food settle the dessert arrived. Beautifully presented we quickly tucked in. The ice-cream was served on top of a crumble which was sweet and added such a nice texture. The ice-cream had such a nice flavour and was nice and light. This was a great way to end the meal.

Overall 4.5/5

This was our second visit to Adler Inn and we really enjoyed both visits. The service was friendly and the food excellent! I highly recommend a visit to Adler Inn.
