E6 – West Ryde – Brunch Review

E6 West Ryde - Burger

E6 West Ryde used to be my local go-to, however, after a few average dishes, I wasn’t keen to return. We decided to give the place another go and see if they had improved.

The Drinks

I was in the mood for a milkshake so I went with that, I only wish I could remember what flavour I ordered. My partner went with a skinny cap. The milkshake was really nice and creamy. I ordered mine with soy but kept the ice-cream (I can get away with limited amounts of dairy).

I also snuck a sip of the skinny cap. The coffee was really nice and really tasty. That’s once thing that has always been consistent with E6, is the quality of their coffee.

The E6 West Ryde Food

I spotted a scrambled egg dish with chilli crab. I knew it would be a little strong for breakfast but was curious to give it a go. The flavour was certainly strong. Once I got past the first bite I really enjoyed it. The chilli crab was cooked into the scrabbled egg. The toast gave a nice break from the strong flavour and the chilli wasn’t too hot, it just added a nice extra to the dish and took away from the sweetness.

My partner ordered a burger and chips. This might sound like an odd breakfast dish but as he doesn’t an egg and most of the dishes have egg this is the best option. E6 sometimes get a little funny when requesting a change to the menu, I don’t know if this is still the case. My partner said the burger was delicious. I can also vouch for the chips, they were really tasty.

Overall (3.5/5)

It’s great to see E6 West Ryde has returned to its glory days. After a bit of a lul, the food has greatly improved and I’m glad to say its back on my visit list.
