What is nail stamping

Before I get into some information about Maniology I thought I would provide a brief on Nail Stamping. Nail Stamping is the process of picking up images from metal plates using a stamper and then placing the image on your nail. There are two key types of stamping. When a plain image is applied this is known as Traditional stamping. Reverse stamping is the second type of stamping, where colours are added to the image.

I created the chequered pattern here using tradition stamping. Maniology plate BM-P103 was used for this design.

This is an example of reverse stamping from my A Bugs Life design. Plate BM-S170 was used for this design.

I love stamping because it allows me to add designs to my nails that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to add as my freehand is pretty awful. It takes a bit of practice to get the hang of but it’s worth it to be able to create some amazing designs.

Who is Maniology
