Brown and Gold | Simple Nail Art

Brown and Gold Nail Art

I picked up a new L’oreal Paris polish and wanted to give it a go as soon as I could. After adding the base colour I was originally thinking to add some stamping to the top but then my gold glitter caught my eye. Normally I don’t wear a lot of gold, rather I prefer silver. However, for this new colour, the gold would work well, so I created this Brown and Gold nail art design.

The Base

To each nail I applied L’Oreal Paris 556 -Grenat Irreverent, which from the bottle looked to be a very dark brown shade. The first coat matched the brown that I could see in the bottle. On the second coat, it looked nearly black but slightly softer. The colour like other L’Oearl Paris shades dried quickly and lasted well over the week.

Having applied the colour I wanted to add a little extra. As I mentioned, in the beginning, I was planning to add some stamping but I was reluctant, concerned that the stamping would have trouble showing up. When I came across the gold glitter I knew straight away that it would be the extra touch that would work perfectly with the colour.

Using clear polish I slowly added more glitter until the nail was covered. It took a few rounds to get to full coverage but was worth it in the end.

Overall

I loved how this Brown and Gold Nail art design turned out. The glitter added some extra glamour to the dark colour. I was also glad to use the glitter as it had been sitting in my collection for a while. When it came to removal, I was really surprised that the glitter came off without too much trouble. After a short time being soaked in nail polish remover, the glitter came off really easily. I think having the colour underneath the glitter helped with this.
