Happy May the 4th be with you. I think this is the first year that I haven’t completely missed the day. It was a coincidence that I wanted to do some Star Wars Nail Art which just happened to line up with May 4th! So I hope you enjoy this design.

The Base
I started this design by selecting the images to stamp for choosing my base colour. I knew a dark base colour wouldn’t with this design as I don’t currently have a light stamping polish shades that would work for what I had in mind. Wanting to add a bit of sparkle I selected Fired Up by ILNP for the base colour. This silver glitter polish is filled with holo and has beautiful red tones.
Given the high amount of glitter, I applied 3 coats of UNT peel off base coat so that I could easily remove the polish at the end of the week I have found that 3 coat is the only way the peeling works for me.
Star Wars Nail Art
The second stage involved stamping the Star Wars images onto my nails using plate LE 105 by the IT Girl. This plate features a number of sci-fi images. There was a limited number of these plates produced so I stayed up to 1.30 am to purchase it from polish pick up. It was well worth staying up so late.
Using the black stamping polish by Konad I added a star wars image to each nail. The black contrasted perfectly against the silver holo and didn’t blend in too much.
As always I added a clear top coat to the top of my design.
Overall
I kept things simple for this May the force design, However, I could have done some reverse stamping for the stormtroopers but I was wanting to keep things quick and easy.
I hope you have a wonderful May 4th!
