As I’ve been slowly making my way through the OPI Hello Kitty collect I thought it was time for another swatch! My partner suggested that I test out the full set of polishes from base to top coat. So let’s see how this goes and review OPI A Kiss on the Chic!

Top and Base Coat
Starting this swatch session, I applied Infinite Shine Primer that is listed as step 1 on the pack. This base dried quickly and had a nice shine. As soon as this base dried I moved onto step two, applying the colour, that I discuss in the next section.
The base, OPI Infinite Shin Gloss has a nice thickness to it, without being too heavy. It added a beautiful shine to the red shade and protected the nail stickers that I applied.
OPI A Kiss on the Chic | Swatch
This shade is a classic red, with a nice deepness to the colour The first thing I noticed when adding the first coat was the excellent opacity for this shade. Although, the colour was a little dull. I was keeping the layers quite thin so there were some gaps but I was ok with this as it was more down to the thickness that I applied to each nail.
The polish went on smooth and I wasn’t too bothered by the small brush that comes with using a mini bottle.
After applying my second coat the colour brightened and had more life. I decided that two coats of OPI A Kiss on the Chic were enough for the polish to have a nice shine and depth of colour.
After finishing the two coats I decided that I wanted to add some simple nail art so I selected some beautiful silver nail stickers by Maniology (M.R086) (use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off Maniology).
Overall
As I’ve said in other posts I love this Hello Kitty OPI collection! A Kiss on the Chic is no exception. It’s such a beautiful classic red with a depth to the colour that is simply stunning, The top and base that came with the pack are beautiful and add a fantastic shine to the colour!!
Let me know in the comments what nail art you would use with this shade.
