Tucked away in the small suburb of Wentworth Point, we decided to visit Bosphorus located on the outside of the local shopping centre. We have visited a few times since that original visit so this review will include my two most recent visits.
Bosphorus Wentworth Point
The restaurant features a range of Turkish street food from the classic Kebab to pide and shish! The restaurant is very family-friendly and I see a lot of large families meeting there! I’ve dined in once (pre-covid) and the service was really great! Even ordering at the counter I found the staff to be really friendly.
For my first visit, I decided to try the falafel plate. The dish came with rice, salad, fresh bread and humous. It was so fun to eat and I loved having a little bit of everything to try. The rice had another grain in it which added a really nice flavour (I’m not sure what it was called if you know please comment below and let me know).
My friend and I also grabbed some baklava for dessert. It wasn’t as good as others I’ve tried but it was still really tasty.
On my second visit, I decided to try the pide which isn’t something I’ve had before. We chose the mixed meat option. Out of the oven, it comes in a really long piece but is chopped up into manageable pieces. It did take a little longer then other dishes so this might not be the best thing to order if you’re in a rush. The closest thing I could compare it to is pizza but its different. I loved the combo of ingredients which had such a nice flavour. It also came with a wedge of lemon which was so refreshing and added a great zing! It’s quite big so I recommend sharing and getting something small on the side or some dessert.
Overall – 4/5
For all of my visits, I have been impressed with Bosphorus. The service is great and the food is amazing. Even the Kebabs aren’t too greasy or heavy. I can see why it’s so popular with the locals!
It’s definitely worth checking out!

Pfft yeah a lot of stuff has sadly 😦
OMG Scotland is amazing for vegan places especially Glasgow and Edinburgh. Hopefully they will survive in this awful climate, so many places are shutting 😦
Hopefully they can survive!!
OMG I love baklava but find it hard to get any without milk/lactose. I am lactose intolerant lol. So we found a cafe to go to, it did mainly vegan Egyptian food – was mega awesome! I finally got my vegan baklava, was so happy 😀
That sounds amazing! Thats certainly am advantage of vegan places popping up! I didnt realise it has milk in it
