New Year’s Eve Nail Art 2020 | Two Design Ideas!

Blue Nail Art for New Year's Eve Nail Art 202

I was having trouble just picking one design for this new year design so I decided “why not both”! Each New Year’s Eve Nail Art 2020 design uses the stamping technique in slightly different ways!

I hope you all have the best New Year’s Eve that you can and we can bid good riddance to 2020!!

New Year’s Eve Nail Art | Design 1 – Pink Base

I started design 1 with ILNP Celeste, a pink based glitter polish that glistens in the sunlight making it rather hard to photograph with my camera. I ended up switching to my phone for most of the shots. For the base coat, I opted to use UNT peel off base coat to make it easier to remove. I used this for both designs.

I used stamping plate BM-S212 by Maniology for this design (use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off Maniology). This is the only new years eve plate I own, as I generally only do one NYE design and it doesn’t always involve stamping. For the stamping itself, I kept the images simple using Konad Black polish. The black polish contrasted really nicely against the pink polish.

New Year’s Eve Nail Art | Design 2 – Blue Base and Reverse Stamping

For the second design, I started with a silvery blue polish by ILNP called New Day. As this was a little more subtle than the pink, not that the pink is super bright, I decided to use the reverse stamping technique to create this New Year’s Eve Nail Art design.

Using stamping plate BM-S212 by Maniology and Konad Black stamping polish I began to add the designs to my stamping mat (just in case you missed it your can use my code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off Maniology).

Filling in the images I tried selecting colours that would stand out against the silvery blue. These are the colours I ended up picking:

  • Natio – Dune (shimmery nude shade to remove some of the brightness of the colours)
  • ILNP – Blueprint (quite a dark blue that contrasted nicely)
  • ILNP – Hide and Seek  (dark green)
  • Color Show – Plum Paradise 280 (very dark purple)

Using the dotting tool, I slowly filled in each image. Then added a clear topcoat and waiting for this to try before using tweezers to apply the decal to my nail. This was finished with a top coat seal in the images.

Overall

Well, this year has truly sucked! Let’s leave it in style with some awesome nails!

I hope you enjoyed these New Year’s Eve Nail Art 2020 designs. If you give them a go don’t forget to tag @TheNailChronicle!
