Reverse Stamping Pastel Easter Nails

Reverse Stamping Pastel Easter Nails

Welcome to my 2nd Easter Design for 2021 a Reverse Stamping Pastel Easter Nails design. This week I decided to go all out pastel using some of the larger images on my Maniology Easter stamping plate.

The Base

For this design I didn’t want to be too constrained with my colour choices when it came to the stamping I decided to use a white base. I selected my favourite plain white Alpine Snow by OPI.

I did consider one of my other white polishes that have slight shimmers in the polish but wanted to keep the base neutral so the stamped images would stand out against the background.

For the reverse stamping, I used Maniology Easter Themed Stamping plate M189 (Use code THENAILCHRONICLE for 10% off).

This is the same plate that I used last week. However, I focused on using the larger images as much as possible.

Wanting to keep more to a pastel theme I used the following Hit the Bottle stamping polishes

  • Stuck on you – black, for the outline
  • Lemon Meringue – yellow
  • Bubblegum Bliss – blue
  • Iced Mauve-jito – purple
  • Peppermint Zombie – green
  • Blueberry Dewdrops – blue

I used two different sized dotting tools to fill in the colour so that I could keep it within the lines as much as possible.

This design wasn’t all smooth sailing and I ended up making a few mistakes that I share in my video below. Luckily, in the end, I was able to fix the errors.

Overall

I think this would have to be my favourite Easter design so far. I love the effect that the black polish has with the pastel colours. My favourite nail is the large bunnies on my right hand.
