ILNP and OPI Blue Nail Art

ILNP and OPI Blue Nail Art

These last few weeks I’ve wanted to do more quick and easy designs so you may notice more simple designs than usual. I have two go-to’s when wanting to keep the design simple. Either stickers or toppers. Both can be such an effective way of adding some special to your nails with minimal effort. This week’s design features some beautiful polish from ILNP and OPI.

ILNP and OPI – Easy Nail Art Design

As always I started with a clear base polish to protect my nails. Currently, I’m using Revlon quick dry base coat. I’ve been using this for a few months now and I’m really happy with the results.

For this design, I started by selecting the base first, which was March in Uniform by OPI. This polish is a deep navy blue that is one of my favourite dark blues. The polish is quite opaque but does need two coats for the full colour to shine through.

Once dry I selected the topper, choosing Abyss by ILNP. This topper has a beautiful blue shine, making it perfect for the dark blue OPI polish. I only added one coat of the topper as I didn’t want to overpower the March in Uniform too much. Luckily my partner was around and able to help with opening the bottle as the lid was a little stuck and the rubber cap has begun to deteriorate which only increased the difficulty in opening the polish. Unfortunately, this also resulted in getting black sticky residue all over our hands. Sadly this isn’t the first ILNP polish that has done this, at least the polish inside is still good.

To finish the design I added a clear quick dry drop coat, to ensure everything was protected.

Overall

For such a super quick design this combo of OPI and ILNP is hard to beat.
