Glam Polish – For the Stranded Witch or Wizard

Glam Polish - For the Stranded Witch or Wizard

Part of Glam Polish’s Harry Potter theme, For the Stranded Witch or Wizard is one of my favourite polishes from the collection and the first one that made it into my shopping bag. This isn’t my first glam polish product having recently reviewed Revenge of the 5th.

For the Stranded Witch or Wizard has a vibrant purple base filled to the brim with iridescent glitter. The glitter is multi-sized and added depth to the polish.

Application of Stranded Witch or Wizard

I started with a base coat of Nails Inc – Devonshire Row. Glam polishes don’t generally need a base colour but I was participating in a collaboration that required a bright purple colour, so I thought it would make a good base. Similar to the other Glam Polish products the polish applied smoothly. For this one I expected to have a few issues due to the large glitter pieces, however, I barely noticed them.

I kept the first coat quite thin to ensure it dried and somehow I still managed to damage one of my nails. After a quick repair and waiting a while for my nails to dry I added the second coat. It certainly took a while to dry resulting in more accidental damage because I thought they were drier than they actually were. However, the damage was easily repaired and given that it’s on my thumb it’s not too noticeable.

Rating (3.8/5)

The polish is amazing and the purple with the glitter complete fit the Knight Bus and its value. The best way I can describe is it’s like a starry sky with the shining stars looking down protecting the people on the ground. The mixed sized iridescent glitter gives depth into the polish that you could just stare at forever.

I’m in love with the colour! I only wish it would dry slightly faster so that I could use Glam Polish products more often.

    1. A friend introduced me and I’ve never looked back! There definitely worth checking out and they release new polishes all the time

  2. I am the worst at painting my nails and then smudging them before they dry! A super quick drying nail varnish would be perfect, Primark have a few 60 second ones that are quite good but not half as pretty as this! I absolutely adore the colour and anything that has a glittery space-like effect.

    1. haha my thumb is damaged because of this as well! I find sometimes a plain colour with a glitter top coat can look amazing and dry much faster.
