Continuing on the theme of subtle easter nails I created design 2 for this 2019 Easter Nail Art Series. I decided to keep this design simple but still keeping to the Easter theme. My only other aim for this design was to use my new polish Dune by Natio.

Natio – Dune – Base colour
In the bottle Dune by Natio looks like a dark creamy pink. I was curious about the brand and choose the colour as it was nothing like any other colour in my collection. I also love the slight shimmer that Dune has in the bottle. When I applied the first coat it went on so smoothly. Even with the thin coat, it was quite opaque.
Each layer dried super quickly and had a smooth finish. I only needed to apply 2 coats to achieve full opacity. The colour ended up being a bit lighter in the bottle, however, it still looks beautiful. Because of how neutral it the shade is, it definitely needs some nail art, stones or sticker to add something extra. I’ll be posting a full review soon.
Easter Egg Pattern
Onto the second stage of my design, after applying Dune, I began nail stamping. I choose a light blue so that I could keep the subtleness of the design. I was having one of these really bad stamping days, where whatever I did. Nothing was working. So I just persevered. By using the light colour for stamping, I wasn’t too worried if the pattern was off. The pattern I choose was from maniology plate BM-603. Even though this wasn’t an Easter plate I felt I was able to create a pattern Easter egg design with the plate.
Overall
Overall, it’s not one of my favourite designs but it still worked out. I achieved the design goal of being subtle with easter vibes, yet people will still able to see the pattern. If I were to re-create this I would make the colour of the pattern slightly darker so that it shows up a little more.
