Easter Nail Art 2019 | Cute Easter

With only a few days left until Easter, I felt that it’s now close enough that I could go all out and create a cute Easter Nail Art design. This is probably the most Easter Nail Art Design for my 2019 series that I have created. I haven’t filmed this one, instead, I’ll be posting 10 Easter Nail Art ideas on my YouTube channel, so keep an eye out for that. Back to this design. I’ll go through each component on its own so that you can chop and change as you wish.

Minimal tools are required for this design. However, I recommend getting a doting toolset which can be purchased from eBay quite cheaply.

Part 1: The Base

Because there are so many different elements for this Easter Nail Art design, I recommend planning in advance what you plan to do for each nail especially if it means that you will be using different base colours. For my design, each nail was blue except for the ring finger which I painted white.  Ensure each layer is fully dried to prevent smudging. This design will take a little work and there is nothing worse than damaging it because the base hasn’t dried enough.

I also recommend not applying any clear coats until the very end of the design unless you know that the polish will smudge. This happened to me when applying part of the eggshell as the white just wouldn’t dry so I changed the order of how I painted the egg.

Part 2: Cute Easter Bunny

This was the first time that I attempted an Easter Bunny and it was the element that I was most worried about. I started with the main shape. Using a large dotting tool I created a large ball shape at the bottom of my nail. Then using a slightly smaller dotting tool I created the head. Again moving to a smaller tool I carefully added the ears.

After letting this dry, I was able to move onto the detail. For the ears, I created a pink spot in the middle. I also used the same pink to create a small nose at the bottom of my nail, so that it looked like the rabbit was popping up. I then used two black dots to create the eyes.

Surprisingly the bunny ended up being really easy to create! If your not sure practice on a piece of paper or stamping mat before adding the design to your nails.

Part 3: Easter Chick

I have created this nail design before and couldn’t resist re-creating this design again. Starting with the nail that has the white base, I used yellow polish to create two zig-zag patterns at the third marks of the nail. I then filled in the middle completely yellow. For this step, you can paint the nail yellow and then add the white shell. The reason I prefered the first approach is that the white polish just wouldn’t dry which resulted in having to redo my nails.

Once the outline was completed, I added eyes and a mouth. To create the mouth apply two angled orange lines. The eyes were created with white outlines followed by black dots in the middle. No matter what I do the eyes still look odd. However, the overall design looks cute (in my opinion) so I just stuck with it.

Part 4: Easter Egg and plants.

The last three nails I applied a bit of dotting and nail stamping. For my index finger, I carefully applied dots to create an Easter egg design.

In keeping with a spring, easter design I added some flowers and leaves, using a stamping plate on the remaining two nails. For this, I used a very dark green so that it would stand out from the light blue base. By adding this element it also toned down the amount of Easter on my hands.

The Final Result

This is how my final design Easter design turned out. I had heaps of fun creating this and I’m glad that I left this till last. My use of the dotting tool has definitely improved and I can’t wait to see how my future designs turn out!
